Most of its Hang outs are aroun the Washington, D.C. area, but its other19 museums, zoo, and nine research centers include sites in New York City, Virginia, Panama, and beyond. It has over 136 million items in its collections,[whew] It publishes a monthly rag named Smithsonian [duh] and employs the Smithsonian Police to protect visitors, staff and the property of the museums.Wow, it own police force!
